HSBC AM names global head of...

Karim Ghannam has been appointed global head of real assets and head of alternatives, Singapore, at HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM).

Ghannam (pictured right) will be responsible for the strategic development and management of HSBC AM’s real assets proposition which comprises listed, direct and indirect real asset investment strategies.

He has over 25 years’ experience, most recently at 8F Asset Management, an impact-focused private equity fund manager which he co-founded in 2016 and held the role of chief investment officer.

Prior to that, he held a number of leadership roles in alternatives and private markets at global firms including Deutsche Bank and Argan Capital.

Karim joins HSBC AM on 8 August 2025 and will report to Munro.
